olena has always believed interior decoration does not have to cost a fortune. a house, is made up of objects collected over time, by it’s owners. some may have cost a fortune, others pennies from a tag sale. all together they make a statement about the homeowners. the artful arrangement of those furnishings is interior redesign. redesigning a house to make it feel like HOME is olena’s first and most important goal.
after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in new york, olena held various positions in the fashion industry with Guess, Timex and most recently Nike. she received her Interior Redesign certification from the School of Interior Redesign (SIR) and is a member of the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS), and the Association of Design Education (ADE).
olena co-founded Vesna in 1998 with her sister lida jureczko russell. Vesna began as a custom fabric treatment workshop and decorative paint finish business. the business expanded into full-service interior redesign, decorating private homes, local restaurants, (Pasta Cosi in Linden Shores, LoMonaco’s, LakeView Taverne and Grille, all in branford), salon and day spa (Capello salon and day spa in branford, ct).
about 3 years into the business, lida decided to attend nursing school, and the business came to a halt. however, olena’s passion for making things look “pretty and new” never waned. after the business closed, calls continued coming and as a result Vesna interior redesign is back in business helping people unearth their homes potential.
