Spring Design Tips

spring is here!  follow these quick, easy and best of all, inexpensive tips to bring freshness into your winter interiors…

oneadd a dash of SPRING thru colorful accent pillows, a coordinating throw, decorative vases and candles, and voila!!! it will instantly refresh your interiors with the lightness of SPRING!

two take it the extra step and switch out your area rug — replace with a new accent rug in a lighter tone and texture—great examples are natural fibers such as sea-grass or sisal. store your winter-hued area rug for the next cold season.

threedon’t forget the window coverings!!!quickly change out dark toned heavy drapes for a light weight linen or sheer cotton. home stores today carry an amazing array of drapes, panels, sheers and blinds, in a multitude of ready-made sizes and colors.

fourwant the custom look without the high price tag? add a touch of fringed trim, or grosgrain ribbon to your ready-made drapes and you’ve created a designer look for a fraction of the cost. local tailors will add the trim to your panels at a very low cost.

fivepaint color is the quickest and least expensive accent in a room that packs a HUGE punch! imagine a room that is currently white transformed into a warm inviting haven with the addition of an earthy spring green or a happy yellow?

sixbring the outdoors inside with live plants—local nurseries are ready to assist you with the best choices, and with the newest colorful pots available, this is another opportunity to pull more color into your space.

seven bring the indoors OUT with todays easy maintenance outdoor furniture and accessories. expand your living space with outdoor furniture, anchor it with an all-weather rug, sunbrella, accent pillows and cushions, and you’ve got yourself an entirely new room to enjoy along with the warm weather.
